Who we are
Now Legal Solutions and Life Coaching Services is not a law firm, and I’m not an attorney. I'm not authorized to practice law, represent you in court, or give you any legal advice.

Now Legal Solutions and Life Coaching Services is a legal document preparation service. We assist individuals with the preparation and completion of legal documents at their specific direction. We provide general published fact-related information written or approved by an attorney relating to legal procedures, rights, and/or obligations. We offer affordable, professional, and personable LDA services to self-represented litigants electing to address our legal system without the assistance of an attorney as defined in the Business and Professions Code.

Background
I am a Legal Document Assistant "LDA" (Formerly Independent Paralegal) and owner of Now Legal Solutions and Life Coaching Services. I am professionally registered through the County of Nevada, Registration No. 22-001, and I possess a LDA Bond in compliance with California law. I am authorized to provide self-help legal document preparation services within the state of California to “Pro Se” litigants at their specific direction.

I am a proud member of both the California Association of Legal Document Assistants, CALDA, which was formerly known as “California Association of Independent Paralegals” (CAIP), and NALA “National Association of Legal Assistants”. Both organizations promote and encourage high standards of ethical and professional conduct, and offer its members educational opportunities, professional alliance, business tools, and attorney-approved printed materials.

I have an extensive legal background in complex civil litigation (toxic-torts), real estate, bankruptcy, estate planning, business, and highly litigated family law matters. What I will offer you as a client, is the knowledge and experience that I’ve acquired over the years having worked in the legal field since 1994, to assist you with the preparation of legal documents, court filing, county recording, and accessing legal resources and published material that will help you through your legal proceeding.

From an LDA's Perspective
I made the decision to leave behind my long-standing position as a litigation paralegal, and the world of fast-paced law firms, to focus on a new venture of being a Legal Document Assistant.

When the COVID epidemic surfaced, it had a significant impact on our economy, and most of the court’s self-help services stopped offering assistance to “Pro Se” litigants. Surprisingly, the epidemic had very little impact on the law firm I was contracting with at the time, but what I did notice was an increase in clients that were unable to pay their initial retainers in full. Many of our clients were using multiple credit cards to cover their legal fees. I found that most middle-class families couldn’t afford to pay an attorney to represent them in court, yet they made too much money to qualify for legal aid. This is one of the reasons I decided to give up my position as a litigation paralegal and become a Legal Document Assistant so I can provide affordable alternatives to self-represented litigants.

LDA services are what I like to call the “happy medium” between the higher fees of an attorney and the low-income requirements of legal aid, which can offer the public affordable self-help legal assistance in various areas of the law. But it's not for everyone. . . During the years that I worked for a firm specializing in complex civil litigation matters, I learned of the importance and necessity of having good legal representation. While the firm itself charged top dollar for its services, the damages that were awarded were astronomical due to the complexity of the case. Matters of this sort of magnitude should never be ventured into without the legal expertise of an attorney, and if your legal matter is complex, you should seek the legal advice of an attorney and schedule a consultation before utilizing self-help services.

It goes without saying, that an attorney’s legal expertise is vital to self-represented litigants when their matter becomes contested, especially when you stand to lose more than you bargained for. The LDA has nowhere near the legal expertise, education, or resources to assist self-represented litigants with matters that have a high probability of being litigated.

In Closing
My goal is to provide affordable, professional, and reliable LDA services to the public. I will continue to approach each client's unique situation with compassion and care in order to build long-lasting business relationships. I will make it my mission in life to see that my clients walk away satisfied with the assistance that I have provided them with, so they will return again in the future. Please give me a call if I can be of any assistance with your legal proceeding.
